Dimapur, December 22 (MExN): Naga Bowl Express the latest entrant in the Dimapur food scene offering traditional Naga cuisine with quick dhaba-style service.
The restaurant was formally opened and blessed by Rev. Lima Jamir of Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo on December 20.
The unique aspect of the restaurant is serving Naga food on a platter of Naga thali, serving both vegetarian and non vegetarian options, a press release informed.
Naga Bowl Express strongly want to also support social entrepreneurship to promote local cooks and foods enthusiasts who has the passion, with the capacity to promote Naga food, but otherwise lack the resources to open their own restaurant, it said.
In this regard, the release informed that once a month, the Naga Bowl Express will open their kitchen (an incubation centre) to such local food enthusiasts to create their own special dish for the customers to savour.
The restaurant on several occasions will also feature winners of famous Naga Chef Competition held during the Hornbill festival for people to savour a winning cuisine.
Alemjunla Jamir, the proprietor of the restaurant, is also the show-chair and judge of Naga chef and self professed food enthusiast. The Naga Bowl Express opens from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Saturday. The restaurant is located opposite Indian Post office/ Saramati Hotel, Super market, Dimapur.
