Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): Naga Christians in South Korea have mourned demise of Rev Dr Kenny Kapfo, one of the pioneers and founding members of the Naga Christian Fellowship, South Korea (NCFSK).
In a condolence message, NCFSK said the late Dr Kenny, along with Rev Dr Paulah Kapfo and other pioneers, took the initiative to establish the fellowship and laid the foundation for what has grown into a spiritual family serving the Naga community in South Korea.
“Their vision, sacrifice, commitment and selfless leadership gave birth to a spiritual family that has continued to grow and serve the Naga community in South Korea,” the fellowship stated.
Describing him as one of the pillars of NCFSK, the fellowship said his demise had left a deep void in the organisation and in the hearts of those who knew and served alongside him.
NCFSK, however, said it also gave thanks to God for his life, ministry, leadership and the lasting legacy he leaves behind. His contribution to the fellowship, it added, would be remembered with gratitude, honour and respect.
As members mourned his passing, the fellowship cited Revelation 14:13, which speaks of those who die in the Lord resting from their labour and their deeds following them.
On behalf of NCFSK, the fellowship extended condolences to the bereaved family, loved ones and all those mourning his demise. It prayed that the Lord would comfort and strengthen the family during the difficult time and that the peace of Christ would sustain them.
“We mourn his passing, but we celebrate his life and legacy. His labour was not in vain, and his contribution to NCFSK will never be forgotten,” the fellowship stated in a condolence message received here.
