DIMAPUR, JANUARY 2 (MExN): The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) has appealed to all people to come and stand together in unity on Naga Day, which is to be held on January 10 at Kohima Local Ground, beginning at 10:00 o’clock in the morning.
A press note from the FNR said that the year 2018 is a year of “Hope” for the Nagas. “Hope is a gift that we are not willing to surrender,” it said.
Naga Day, the FNR stated, is to strengthen the process of Naga Reconciliation among the Naga people. “It is a resolve to move out from a culture of focusing only on our differences, and to participate in building a shared humanity of belonging. Naga Day is to embrace our shared ‘belonging,’ which is a beautiful gift from God, and to nurture and affirm our confidence of who we are as individuals and as a people,” it added.
The Naga Day, it asserted, “belongs to all.”
