Kohima, August 28 (DIPR): Naga Food Festival organised in New Delhi recently saw great response.
Nagaland House Delhi organised the Naga Food Festival at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan and Manipur Bhawan on August 26 and 27 respectively.
There was heavy rush in both the venues. At Manipur Bhawan, the function was graced by Vinit Joshi, Resident Commissioner, Manipur and guests from Manipur, Nagaland and all over Delhi. Everyone relished the dishes served for its authentic taste.
The exotic buffet menu was reasonably priced at Rs 500/- only per person. The festival was part of the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat initiative under which different Bhawans are hosting cuisines of other Bhawans. On August 19, the cuisine of Madhya Pradesh was served in Nagaland House Delhi and residents and other guests got the flavour of Madhya Pradesh cuisine. On September 4, the cuisine of Manipur will be served at Nagaland House Delhi.
Nagaland House Delhi has extended gratitude to the Horticulture Department, Government of Nagaland for ensuring that organic and fresh fruits and vegetables are made available for the occasion.
This initiative is one of its kind attempts to expose residents of Delhi to the cuisine of Nagaland. In future, Nagaland House Delhi will be organizing many more events that would include Food Festivals along with music and culture of the State.
