Naga Kuotsu Union general conference today

Kohima, April 8 (MExN): The Naga Kuotsu Union will hold its 14th general conference at Zhadima village in Kohima district on April 9, hosted by Kuo-u descendants from Zhadima village. This general conference is held triennially. Kuo-u descendants from over 65 villages from Nagaland, Manipur and Assam are expected to join in the conference, according to a press release issued by Naga Kuotsu Union.   The programme will commence at 10:00 am at Council Hall, Zhadima Village to be compered by Seyiekhrielhou Kuotsu (Zhadima) and Khriehunuo (Phesama). Rev. Dr. Visorü Zeliang Kuotsu will invoke God’s blessing for the programme. Peter Kuotsu, Advisor, Zhadima Kuotsu Union & Treasurer, Naga Kuotsu Union will give the welcome address; after which Bizo M. Kuotsu, President, Naga Kuotsu Union will give the presidential address.

  A special song will be presented by Phesama Kuotsu and a folk song in traditional attire will be also be presented by Zapami Kuotsu. Secretary Report and Nomination Committee Report will also be presented, where a new team of office bearers will be declared.   In the general conference, the following persons will present talk on the respective topics: Zapuvisie Lhousa Kuotsu - Kuo-u Descendants though Scattered to Various Villages are from the Same Family; F.P. Solo Kuotsu - Role of Kuo-u Descendants in the Present Society; Dr. Niu Francis Whiso Kuotsu - Kuo-o Genealogy Status.
