Mughaho Awomi from Nagaland has been elected as joint secretary in the new team of All India Chess Federation (AICF) for the tenure 2020-2023.

The new AICF team was announced on January 4 last and will be led by Dr Sanjay Kapoor as President. The Federation’s Vice Presidents are Anantha DP, Bhavesh Patel, Vipnesh Bhardwaj, Ajay Ajmera, PC Lallianthanga and Er Niapung Konia, with Bharat Singh Chauhan as Secretary while the Joint Secretaries are Rajesh R, Mahendra Dhakal, Atul Kumar, Mughaho Awomi, Diljeet Khanna and Atanu Lahi. Naresh Sharma was elected as the AICF Treasurer.

Meanwhile, congratulating Mughaho Awomi, Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) President Neiba Kronu and Secretary Hekugha Yeputhomi also extended best wishes to Awomi.
