Naga leader abducted

Appeal for unconditional release

Dimapur, April 5 (MExN): The president of the Thangal Naga Union has been abducted from his house by armed persons on the night of April 4 at around 9:30pm. According to news reports, H. Khangba was taken by four armed men from his residence in Senapati district. Meanwhile, the President of the Tribal People’s Organization, Manipur, Joel Lorho in a press release has appealed for the “unconditional” release of Khangba. Lorho informed that Khangba was abducted by “unidentified persons” and was taken to an “unknown destination.” He appealed for Khangba’s early release on “humanitarian ground.”
