Naga ‘National Restoration & Renewal Summit’ concludes

A three-day long “Naga National Restoration & Renewal Summit” concluded here today at Naga Shisha Hoho Prayer Centre, Prüzie under the aegis of Naga Shisha Hoho Prayer Warriors.

The summit, started on February 27, was held under the theme “Turn us back to You, O Lord, and we will be restored; Renew our days as of old” (Lamentation 5:21).

In today’s Sunday service, Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) Convenor Rev Dr Wati Aier said that “Nagas want to restore and renew our historical, political rights.”

Stating that Nagas have their own rights, he stressed on the need to take it realistically.

He said that Nagas are going through a very difficult time. In this, he stressed on the need to break the chain and be renewed.

Sharing greetings, Rev Candid Sareo said “Naga must unite and reconcile.”

Other speakers of the three-day long summit included Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister's Hill Kohima senior pastor Rev  Dr Vevo Phesao, Nagaland Christian Forum vice president Rev Dr Neikedozo Paphino and Phom Baptist Church Kohima pastor Rev Phomlee Van.

Rev Puduhü Khusoh said that around 2000 people from Nagas of Myanmar, Southern Nagas and Nagas of Nagaland turned up at the summit.

He also informed that 30 leaders from Naga political groups also joined the summit, including NGOs and around 100 prayers centres across the state.

He said that summit seek  to bring unity among the Nagas, based on the need for restoration and renewal of Nagas as one body.

Meanwhile, a ten-point ‘Divine Revelation’ which was arrived through prayers at the Naga Shisha Hoho Prayer Warriors, Naga Prayer Centres & Houses from February 24 to 27 was announced at the Summit.

It included no changes, no addition or omission to the Naga Plebiscite, 1951 and that there is no other way than to ‘unite and reconcile as one in Jesus Christ’

Further, it ‘revealed’ that the year 2022 “shall be a year of coming together” and the summit was a chance from God “to examine ourselves, remember his goodness and unite as one Nation.”
