
General Motors India to launch small cars soon
Dimapur, Nov 28 (MExN): Expressing great satisfaction on his first ever visit to Nagaland, General Motors India President and Managing Director, Rajeev Chaba said that the Naga people ‘deserves the best’ and it was with this objective that the company had taken the opportunity to set up its first dealership in the State under the young leadership of Niuto Chishi, Proprietor of Urban Station.
The GM Chief was speaking to reporters after the inauguration of Urban Station GM showroom today. Pointing out that the Northeast region was emerging as a major trading hub, Chaba said that to set foot in Nagaland, described by him as one of the fastest growing States in India, was testimony that the State and its people are ‘progressing very well’.
The GM India President also took the opportunity to announce that the company will soon launch two new products in the small and mini car segment. It includes the Chevrolet Spark, which would be launched in April 2007 and the Aveo U-VA. Chaba said that the small cars coming out of the GM stable will be ideal for Nagaland.
