Naga services quota will not be disturbed – ENSA

Dimapur, Nov 28 (MExN): Responding to concern raised over matter of “sharing opportunities from the present state of Nagaland with outsiders Nagas” the Eastern Naga Students Association has assured that eastern Nagas will not “disturb” the civil services quota for Nagaland state.

ENSA, based in Myanmar, assured that it would not “disturb” the civil services special quota provided by the Government of Nagaland to the state of Nagaland (under Article 371 {A}{1}).

“In order to avoid misunderstanding especially between the present state of Nagaland and eastern Naga Myanmar, we the eastern Nagas will not interfere in any manner in terms of demanding affiliation and integration with present state of Nagaland before the achievement of (a solution to) the long-pending Naga problem” the association through its President Michal Kaita Pangmi assured. However, it also assured cooperation in the event any initiatives for eastern Nagas are undertaken.

“We the eastern Nagas will not create any double standard; we want to live in peaceful relationship with all the Naga brothers and sisters till the end of the world” it stated.
