
Kohima, Jan. 4: Parliamentary Secretary KV Pusa today called upon the people to live above tribalism and learn to live as Nagas.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the 4th edition of Zenith Club open volleyball tournament this morning, the Parliamentary Secretary said Nagas have been too much into tribalism which has generated more division among the people. Pusa cautioned that until and unless Nagas learn to live as a united people, the Naga society would not progress and that more problems would emerge and continue. For all-round development of the state Nagas must live above tribalism and petty politics. “I urged upon the Naga brothers and sisters to live as one” he called.
Parliamentary Secretary KV Pusa also urged the Naga youth to be more realistic and helpful to the society reminding that many a Naga youth has been swayed away by anti-social activities and easy living. He said as youths everyone must contribute towards progress and growth of the state.
Pusa also donated Rs. 50,000 towards construction of a volleyball court at Kezo town and Rs. 25,000 to the club. Later in the afternoon the leader addressed R Khel Youth Society Day at Viswemi village. He urged the youths to remain steadfast for the welfare of the village. He advised them to understand their responsibility towards building the village and the state and “learn how to work and eat”. The MLA also donated Rs. 20000 to the society.
