Kohima, October 13 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU) has temporarily suspended its ongoing 'Digital Protest' till October 14 as a mark of respect and admiration to Late CM Chang, who passed away on October 12.

“As a mark of respect and admiration and also due to the declaration of State mourning declared by the State government for our tall leader, the Union has decided to halt the ongoing digital protest till tomorrow i.e. October 14,” stated ANCSU in a statement.

The remaining action of protest will continue on from October 15 and would be intensified until the Union's demand is fulfilled, it informed.

Meanwhile, expressing sadness over the demise of the Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, and Justice & Law, the Union in its condolences prayed that the Almighty God “will grant peace and solace to his family and dear ones during this time of grief and mourning.”

The Union further acknowledged the unceasing effort and participation of everyone in the 'Digital Protest' against the alleged inaction of the State government regarding its demand for appointing an “Enquiry Commission" to probe fund utilisation at Khelhoshe Polytechnic, Atoizu.
