Promises two-lane roads in every dist HQ, trip to Jerusalem for senior citizens
Mokokchung, December 17 (MExN): Nagaland State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has concluded its first phase of booth-level training. The party organised 11 booth-level training programmes in Tuensang, Longleng, Wokha, and Mokokchung districts from December 11 to 16.
The final trainings were held on December 16 at 30 Alongtaki Assembly Constituency and Tuli. Dr. M Chuba Ao, former State BJP president and Jaangsillung Gongmei, State general secretary led the training in Alongtaki, while K James Vizo, convener, Media Cell, Tsasepi Sangtam, vice president, K Thong, secretary, and Yanghose co-convener, Media Cell conducted the training in Tuli.
Addressing the party workers, Vizo said people of Mokokchung district are fortunate to be socially, economically, politically more advanced compared to others. Asking what their vision is for 2018, he further questioned whether they are prepared for changes. “Do they want reformation, transformation and development in the Mandal, district, and state?” he queried, according to a press release from BJP Nagaland Media cell.
He said BJP’s top agenda is to bring changes to Nagaland State through development. “Many parties have come and gone but could not deliver the goods to our State due to defective system in their house,” Vizo maintained. Today in Nagaland, he said, development is hardly visible and corruption is at its peak. “It is only BJP under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, BJP President that can bring changes to the State like Nagaland as the BJP system is performing one,” he asserted.
The BJP leader reminded the gathering that like all political parties in the country, BJP too is a political party registered under Election Commission of India. “BJP is a positive secular party which believes in Gandhian socialism and democracy keeping in mind the nation’s integration and its unity.”
Meanwhile, Tsasepi highlighted the vision documents of BJP Nagaland. If it comes to power, BJP will give top priority to road connectivity in the state by making two-lane roads in all the district headquarters, he promised, adding that 50 senior citizens from Nagaland will be selected every year and will be sent to visit “holy land” - Jerusalem.
K Thong highlighted the BJP-led NDA government flagship programmes and schemes for women, rural populace, farmers, and youths etc.
With regard to the allegation of BJP being “anti-Christian” party, Yanghose said, “This is only rival’s propaganda which are all baseless allegations with a political ill-motive to tarnish the image of BJP.” If BJP is anti-Christian party, “then how come External Union Minister Sushma played a vital role in rescuing Father Tom Uzhunnalil, a Christian priest originally from Kerala who was abducted by the ISIS in Yemen?” he wondered.
