Dimapur, January 4 (MExN): In view of the recent revocation of suspension of some members of the Nagaland BJP, the party’s State President Visasolie Lhoungu convened a joint consultative meeting with BJP Legislators, senior members and its members at Dimapur on January 4.
A press release from the party’s media cell termed it a “major development” within the party wherein the members present expressed their minds “to achieve complete reconciliation and re-strengthen the Party”.
Various issues pertaining to the Organisation and the current State political developments were deliberated in threadbare manner for four hours, it added.
Meanwhile, the State BJP has expressed appreciation on the recent appointment of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju as the BJP Election In-charge for Nagaland.
It also extended appreciation to the stakeholders and Government of India on the significant progress made in the negotiation for the final settlement of the Naga political issue and further reiterated its stand on early solution to the protracted Naga political issue.
