Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): A three-day Bible Study Conference at the Withee Bible College (WBC) was held from June 9 to 11, with resource speakers Pastor Zephania Soh and Pastor Phinehas David Yeo from Singapore and their assistants, Beneiah and Micah from Kathmandu. Many Naga Church leaders from different Associations were also in attendance.
The speakers shared on the depth of the Word of God from the Book of Genesis and covered the whole Book with clarity and with power. The church leaders were really blessed, stated a press release issued by the Principal of WBC. “The intention behind the Bible Study Conference is to call our Nagaland Christians back to the Bible. Truly speaking, Nagaland Churches are influenced with the fable words and facing difficult to fully trust on the Living Word of God,” the release added.
The WBC Principal added, “The root cause of indulging to heretical words is because of our past ancestral animism faith. When our Nagaland people embraced Christianity it was difficult to die hard the animism faith and lingering to our Nagaland Christians even up to these days. Though it seems very difficult to wipe out completely the ancestral faith, it is our obligation to educate and calling our Nagaland Church leaders ‘Back to the Bible’ and struggle hard to wipe out the superstitious animism faith.” This, he added, is the sole reason for organising the Bible Study Conference for the Church leaders in Nagaland.
