The medical practitioners as part of the team while sharing their challenges observed that many places in Nagaland still lack basic health care facilities especially improper Operation Theatre despite having recognized Community Health Centres (CHCs).
It cited that these CHCs operate with just 1 MBBS doctor.
The team also observed that after conducting a comprehensive visit to various government hospitals, CHCs and PHCs across Nagaland, there is a dire need for dental services in these institutions.
“Despite having dental supplies and equipment, these institutions often remain unable to provide essential oral healthcare services due to the absence of trained dental professionals which requires a job creation for the dental department,” it said.
The CMMOT team also extended appreciation to Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B Henok Buchem, NCS for providing accommodation to the team.
The CM-MOT was launched in January 26 by the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan with the aim to provide advanced surgical and healthcare services to rural and remote areas of Nagaland. The first CM-MOT was held in Meluri district.
