Nagaland CM mourns demise of Dr Taka

Kohima, May 9 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Sunday mourned the demise of former Director of the State Health and Family Welfare department,  Dr Taka who passed away on May 8, at the age of 91.

“Late Dr Taka served the Government of Nagaland as a dedicated and sincere doctor and retired as the Director of Health and Family Welfare Department. He was among the pioneers who put their efforts in establishing the medical department in the State of Nagaland,” the CM wrote in his condolence message.

Rio commended late Dr Taka as not only an efficient doctor but also someone who worked selflessly for the welfare of the people, especially for those in need.

“In his demise, we have a lost a father figure and a guardian and his absence will be difficult to be replaced. However, let us celebrate his life for the benevolent deeds he had done for the society,” Riop added.

The CM conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
