Nagaland: DMC calls for mass social work to contain Dengue outbreak

DIMAPUR, JULY 27 (MExN): In view of the recent Dengue outbreak in Dimapur district, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) in an order informed all citizens under Dimapur municipality that from August-November 2018, there would be mass social work for removal of stagnant water in respective household every Saturday from 7-8am. All residents of Dimapur municipal area have been urged to completely remove/drain stagnant water within their respective house compounds from household utensils, flowerpots, drains etc. The colony chairperson/GBs have been informed to monitor the social work. The order also authorized the colony chairperson/GBs to impose a fine of Rs 100 if they find household with stagnant water within their compound.
