Dimapur, February 4 (MExN): Six more candidates filed their nominations for the Nagaland Assembly Elections scheduled for February 27, taking the total to seven.
According to an update from the office of the Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer on Saturday, the candidates who filed their nominations include N Jacob Zhimomi (BJP) under 4 Ghaspani-1 Assembly Constituency; Salhoutuonuo Kruse (NDPP) under 8-Western Angami AC; Y Vikheho Swu (NDPP) under 13 Pughoboto AC; Joel Naga (RPP) under 12 Tseminyu AC; Gwalozu Kath (RPP) under 12 Tseminyu AC (Standby); and Dr Neisatuo Mero (independent) under 16 Pfutsero AC.
The filing of nominations began on January 31 and will close on February 7.
Earlier on February 3, Hayithung Tungoe Lotha (Independent) filed nomination from 37 Tyui AC.
