Kohima, August 19 (MExN): As a precursor to the statewide mega mock exercise NEPEx, two days table top exercise will be organized for the AHoDs, HoDs, and DDMAs officials on August 22 and 23 at ATI, Kohima.
Pankaj Kumar, Chief Secretary of Nagaland in a press release has requested the AHoDs and HoDs of all the departments concerned and two officials each from the District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) to participate in the programme. They have been requested to study the IRS notification and preview the roles and responsibilities assigned to them before the meeting.
Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) will be conducted by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department on August 29-30. NEPEx is a statewide mega mock exercise to test the capability of the Government of Nagaland to respond and manage any mega impending disaster.
The participants from District Disaster Management Authorities who will attend the August 22-23 programme must impart IRS and table top exercise in their respective districts on August 29.
