
Kohima, February 14 (DIPR): Governor of Nagaland reviewed the implementation of projects under Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) in his secretariat office on 13th February. Under the NLCPR, a total of 30 projects are being implemented by the State Government departments at a cost of Rs. 474.00 crores out of which Rs. 269.00 crores has already been released. Over an above this, Border Roads Organization (BRO) is implementing 10 projects at a cost of Rs.118.00 crores out of which Rs. 99.00 crores has already been released by the Government of India.
Addressing officials at the meeting, the Governor directed the departments to ensure timely completion of projects while ensuring requisite quality workmanship. He also directed the concerned departments to submit Utilization Certificates in time so that further funding is obtained from Government of India.
The Schemes reviewed included – Upgradation of Naga Hospital, Kohima, Vitalization of Referral Hospital, Dimapur, Opening of OPD & Upgradation of District Hospitals in Nagaland (PM’s package), Construction of New 66 KV S/C in Tizit, Mon Transmission line bay at Tizit, Construction of Sainik School, Punglwa, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Water Supply at Mon & Chui villages, Augmentation of Water Supply at Chen EAC Headquarter and Chenwatnyu village (2006-07), Sports Hall at Mokokchung, Construction of Mini Outdoor Stadium at Wangkhao College in Mon, State Archives at Kohima, Upgradation and Modernisation of ITI’s in the State, Establishment of North East Expo Centre at Dimapur, Integrated Intangki Irrigation Project, Tsurang Irrigation Project, Improvement of Roads in Mon district, Improvement of Roads in Tuensang District, Improvement of Roads in Wokha district Improvement of District Capital roads of Kohima and Dimapur, Improvement of Dimapur – Ganeshnagar road (35 Kms), Improvement of District Capital Roads of Phek, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Wokha and Mon, Construction of road from Purana Bazar to Kohima – Bokajan road, Dimapur – Khopanala – Jalukie – Peren road, Upgradation of Road from Old Phek Via Khuza to Satakha, Upgradation of road from Longkhum via Mangmetong – Aliba, Construction of 2 Lane RCC Bridge over Dhansiri River, Improvement of road from Hazidasa village to Intangki River Bridge and Upgradation of road from Mounglumuk to Jalukie village, Construction of road from Phek – Chozuba and Upgradation of road from Rusoma to Kijumetuma.
Projects reviewed included under implementation by BRO roads from Tang junction – Chenmoho Army post via Singha Moka, Lampong – Sheangha to Phomching via Chingyu EAC HQ, Namtola – Mon road, Chari – Dikhu – Mokokchung road, Replacement of Old Hamilton Bridge, Kiphire – Amahator – Lukhami road, Kiphire – Pungro road, Aboi – Tohok Road, Tohok – Chenlaiso – Wangti road, Tohok – Chenkhao – Wangti road and Construction of roads in Mon and Tuensang districts.
The meeting was attended by the Advisers to Governor, R.S. Pandey, S.C.Tripathi, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner and other Departmental officials.
