The Nagaland govt is silent on many allegations – the latest being the fuel adulteration issue. Is the “Oppositionless” Government unconcerned with such problems? Why?

Some of those who voted YES had this to say:

•    Yes. But at the same time the media has also not done worth mentioning in this case. The media house should also come of age.

•    Yes. Why oppositionless government??? they don't possesses any moral, ethical and Christian principles to be call a true politician as did in other parts of the world. thus, in nutshell Nagaland politics is nothing but only money that matters the most, otherwise who has done what for whom, when??? Whether we like it or not our politics is too cheap. An illiterate and a criminal can contest and be a politicians so long as he or she has acquire money by any means.

•    Yes... Opposition is must in a modern and complex Democratic society

•    Yes, it is. Govt is unconcerned with such problems because we believe in money, not in God. I want Nagaland to unite and believe in God but not in money and corruption. I want our leaders to fear God but not Men.

•    Yes the government is unconcerned and has no interest at all to investigate into all the allegations that are being made. This is because they are also involved and are part of the problem.

•    Yes. Nagaland government does not care about the public at all. They act with complete impunity because the legal system has collapsed in Nagaland.

•    Yes. the present government has no concern for the people.

•    Yes, the Government has no concern at all. Actually they are part of the problem as well. No wonder they are keeping silent and still.

•    Yes, since there is no opposition government and since the one man rule is at work, it does not take brains to work out if they opened one can of worms they will be the center of it.

•    Yes . Opposition is very important part and parcel of democracy, without opposition government can become act and do as their wish without caring for public view and wishes. Many politicians depends on people who do wrong things so that they get financial help to fight during election.

  •    Yes, our 'oppositionless' government sure is unconcerned for us. But in a sense, we elected them through our greed and so also, we reap the harvest now. However, if they were true, sincere and upright leaders, they still have all the opportunities with them to correct the wrong in us but more importantly, show us in deeds that they're our servants as well as leaders by doing the needful for our people.

•    The opposition greed for power and money joined the ruling govt. The ruling govt then do as they please involving in all kinds of menace to the society. DO they care for the general public. No. I ray that God will have pity on these a******s and their generation.

Some of those who voted NO had this to say:

•    No. Their silence about it seems to suggest some nexus going on.

  •    It is only fair for a helpless puppet govt to maintain silence when it has no expertise and other resources to bring about a solution. Atleast they are not being a hypocrite.

Some of those who voted OTHERS had this to say:

•    It will be too early to comment as to say yes but surely it shouldnt have ignored on such issue of fuel adulteration has been taking place for a long time and Govt should act now taking into consideration the tax increased by the Govt and we are paying higher than Meghalaya or Manipur or Sikkim or Arunachal and there is only one rupee difference with Assam.

•    Next global award our Nagaland state is going to get is award on actionless government.

  •    Why would the govt dig their own grave

•    Fishes dies when they are out of the water, likewise they will die when they comes out of corruptions!

•    In a democratic country people need a strong opposition to check on the activities of the ruling party.   nfortunately or fortunately Nagaland doesn't have opposition party to raise voice. It has weakened the activities and responsibility of the government. In Nagaland all the legislators irrespective of the party they are affiliated to should be held collectively responsible for the failure in any matter that requires direct intervention from the government.

•    Why blame the government, it is the society which is unconcerned. Corruption, nepotism, favouritism, tribalism, etc n all sorts of ism existing today are because we Nagas are so fond of "adjustments". Every section of our society is diseased and partiality is at zenith level. Immorality is the new gospel.
