Nagaland Health department bids farewell to PD, Director

Dr Keveduyi Theyo is incoming Principal Director

Kohima, September 2 (MExN): The Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW) bid farewell to Principal Director Dr Mereninla Senlem and Director (Health) Dr Menguzenuo Margaret Yhome at a programme in Kohima on September 2.

Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Kevileno Angami, acknowledged the officers' contributions to the department and society, and commended their leadership, team spirit, dedication and sacrifices during their years of service.

In her farewell address, Dr Senlem expressed gratitude for the guidance of seniors and colleagues throughout her career. 

She stressed the importance of maintaining good relations with District Task Forces and administrations for effective implementation of programmes and achievement of goals.

She also highlighted the pool of talented and efficient personnel under the National Health Mission (NHM), suggesting that the department could make better use of its existing manpower through structural changes. She encouraged officials to work cooperatively and maintain open communication, noting that every section of the department had scope for further growth.

Dr Yhome also in her speech thanked all her professional colleagues and senior for the guidance and unwavering support in her journey of service in the department. She expressed continued success in the department and wishes all good life.

Mission Director, NHM, Dr Keveduyi Theyo, described the occasion as an opportunity to acknowledge the outgoing officers' leadership, contributions and integrity.

He highlighted their service and achievements before delivering his acceptance speech as the incoming Principal Director.

Dr Theyo said he accepted the responsibility with humility and sincerity, and acknowledged that the institution's legacy had been built through the contributions of successive officers. 

He assured that he would uphold its core principles and work towards its continued growth and success, informed a press release from the department. 

The programme was chaired by Dr. Puse Liegise, Director (ME& RS), invocation by Dr Bendangtula, Dy. Director (AYUSH).Theprogramme concluded with a benediction cited by Dr  Asunu Thong, Joint Director, it added.
