Kohima, May 19 (MExN): Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom on May 19 inspected the progress of work and workforce status in the construction site of Nagaland Medical College in Kohima.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of work at the medical college site. “Visited the ongoing construction of Nagaland Medical College, Kohima today. I am satisfied with the progress of the work and appreciate the sincere efforts put in by the contractors,” the Minister tweeted later during the day.

According to sources in the Minister’s office, engineers at the site have informed that by year-end, 70% of works is expected to be completed, if there are no disruptions.
Although the workforce strength has been affected due to the pandemic-induced lockdown, there is no shortage and the works are going on smoothly, the source informed.
Meanwhile, the Minister also took stock of the grievances faced by the contractors and assured all possible help from the department. Pangnyu also reminded the contractors that proper workmanship and SOPs should be maintained.
