Our Correspondent Kohima | February 28 Nagaland is all set to host North East NSS Youth Festival 2016 from March 1 to 5 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. The festival will be marked by cultural dances, cultural songs, Yoga session, seminar on youth & creativity, environment, enterprise and disaster management, literary competition, quiz competition and sightseeing. As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a cleanliness drive will be undertaken at IG Stadium and Naga Heritage Village Kisama. All seven north eastern states, including Sikkim, will join the festival. The inaugural function will take place on March 2 at 10:00 am with Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, IAS as the chief guest. Welcome address will be delivered by C. Theyo, State NSS officer while keynote address will be delivered by Sunil Kumar Basumatary, Regional Director, NSS, North Eastern Region, Guwahati. Special number will be presented by Khrüküdülü Swüro, special appearance by Christina Lalruatpuii and theme song by Don Bosco College, Kohima. Pete Z. Krose, Vice Principal Kohima Bible College, Kohima will pronounce invocation while Sungjemmongla Jamir will compere the function. Valedictory function will take place on March 4 at 3:30 pm with Menukhol John, Commissioner & Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports, NEPED as the chief guest. The function will be followed by musical entertainment by DGP Band.
