Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Organic Konnect (NOK) in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland will be hosting the 5th IFOAM Asia Organic Youth Forum.
Nagaland Minister of Agriculture, G Kaito Aye will grace the inaugural of the three-day residential training at Niathu Resort, Dimapur on November 26. The president of IFOAM Asia, Zhou Zejiang will deliver the opening message while Akali Sema, president, NOK will speak on the journey of Nagaland Organic Konnect.
Meanwhile, on November 29 the International Organic Forum will be held where organic experts and pioneers will participate in the open forum under the topic ‘Meet the Organic Pioneers.’
Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio will grace the open forum scheduled from 9:30 am at Niathu Resort, Dimapur.
IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) is the “only international umbrella organization for the organic world, uniting a diverse range of stakeholders contributing to the organic vision.”
NOK is a Nagaland based society formed by few individuals with the vision “to transform the existing system of agriculture through promotion and facilitation of organic farming. NOK patrons are Alemtemshi Jamir (IAS), Neiba Kronu and Dr. John Murry with Prof (Dr) Akali Sema as the president.
