The 7th session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) commenced in Kohima on February 12 with Nagaland’s Governor RN Ravi address and obituary references.
Namri Nchang, Advisor of Water Resources moved motion of thanks to the Governor’s address, which was seconded by H Haiying, Advisor Prisons, Printing & Stationary.
NLA speaker Sharingain Longkumer told the House that discussion on Governors’ Address will be taken up on February 15.
Earlier, Nagaland’s Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio made obituary reference to the passing away of Late Pranab Mukherjee, former president of India and late Ram Vilas Paswan, former MP.
NLA speaker also made obituary references on passing away of Late Pranab Mukherjee, Late Ashwani Kumar, former Governor of Nagaland, late Ram Vilas Paswan, Late CM Chang, former member of NLA, late Tarun Gogoi, former Chief minister of Assam, late Lungbe Meru, former member of NLA and late Temjen Toy, former chief secretary Nagaland.
The House observed a minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
