Kohima, February 21 (MExN): The Nagaland Lokayukta received 23 complaints during the period from January to December 2020.
The complaints received were under various stages of active investigation, according to the Annual Report of Nagaland Lokayukta, which was laid at the recently concluded Nagaland Legislative Assembly session.
The report highlighted the number of complaints filed against different departments by the public and also investigation into cases of misappropriation as pointed out by the CAGA Audit Reports etc. The report also stated that the reason for the decline in the number of complaints filed is due to the ongoing pandemic.
In addition to the new complaint filed, there are 38 regular cases and 50 cases under preliminary enquiry. The Nagaland Lokyukta has total of 111 cases out of which 12 cases has been disposed off, the report informed.
