The mini marathon being flagged off in Pughoboto on November 6.
PUGHOBOTO, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): A mini marathon was organized at Pughoboto on November 6 as part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign.
The mini marathon was flagged off by the Additional Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Pughoboto, Thungchanbemo Tungoe, who encouraged the youths to participate enthusiastically in the electoral process.
“Your vote is precious than gold or diamond, so don't let anyone snatch away your previous vote,” the ADC said. He encouraged the participants to do away with proxy voting and asked them to take part in the electoral process and to choose the right leader for the betterment of our society, state and the country.
Cash prizes were awarded to the winners in two categories—male and female. All the participants will be given certificates on the National Voters' Day on January 25, 2021.
