Nagaland Minister reviews management of COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination

Kohima, June 12 (MExN): Nagaland Minister of Health & Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom held a meeting with the District CMOs and MS through video conference to review the management of COVID-19 pandemic and COVID-19 vaccination in all district on June 12. 

According to an update from IEC Bureau, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, the meeting discussed on presence of officers and staff in their place of posting. Tit discussed on COVID testing, vaccination-mobilisation and vaccine availability, availability and functioning of equipments in respective districts, deployment of oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders and ventilators, availability of ambulances, coverage of rural areas. 

The meeting also deliberated on sharing information with DTF-transparently providing details of funds and other resources made available, implementation and progress impact of activities under NHP (world bank), contribution/donation received from various NGOs, companies, churches and well wishers, requirement of PPE/mask/vaccine/medicine and any equipments, incentives to nurses and other employees under NHM during isolation etc, grievances or quires from the district and status of manpower under DH, CHC and PHC.

Principal Secretary, Amardeep Singh Bhatia (IAS), Secretary Wezope Kenye (IAS), Principal Director Dr Neikhrielie Khimiao, Joint Secretary Ajit K Ranjan (IAS), Director (FW) Dr Thorhusie Katiry, Director (Dental) Dr Theyiephrezo Khimiao, Joint Director Dr Kika Longkumer, Joint Director Dr Neisakho Kire and Deputy Director Dr Nyan Kikon attended the meeting at NIC Secretariat.
