Fisheries department renamed Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources

Kohima, July 27 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has changed the nomenclature of the Department of Fisheries to Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources with immediate effect. Henceforth, all communication and correspondence shall be addressed as Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, the department stated.  

DMC directive to prevent dengue

Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): In view of the recent outbreak of dengue in Dimapur district, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed all citizens under its jurisdiction that from August to November, 2018 every Saturday from 7:00 am to 8:00 am, there will be mass social work for removal of stagnant water in respective household. Therefore, all the residents of Dimapur municipal area have been informed to completely remove/drain stagnant water within their respective compounds from household utensils, flowerpots, drains etc. A press release from DMC Administrator, Moa Sangtam informed the colony chairmen/GBs to monitor the social work. Further, they were authorized to impose a fine of Rs. 100 if they find any household with stagnant water within their compound.  

EAC Dimapur HQ nominated Nodal Officer for PWDs cell

Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): Extra Assistant Commissioner (HQ) of Dimapur, Tsidi has been nominated as the Nodal Officer for the Grievance Cell of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) with immediate effect till further order. This was informed in a press release by Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Sadar, Dimapur, N Zubenthung Ngullie.
