Bike recovered
Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): Union Territory-I, NSCN (IM) authority has recovered a two wheeler (bike), Bajaj Pulsar 150cc, black/blue in color, bearing chassis number MD2A11C20FCH83939 and engine number DHZCFH58294. A release issued by MIP has asked the rightful owner to claim the recovered bike by producing proper documents at the UT-I office during the office hour within one week from the date of publication of the news. EUUN to check fake certificates & docs
Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): The Co-ordination Committee Dimapur of Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) held an emergency meeting on August 4 pertaining to issuing illegal fake certificates and documents by various individuals, institutes and academics. A release from H. Pito Yeptho, President informed that the union will be checking "immoral practices and activities" in institutes and academics in and around Dimapur. It further warned for strict necessary action against the defaulters as per the law.
Kargil Vijaya Diwas observed
Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): Leo Club and Rotaract Club, Dimapur celebrated Kargil Vijaya Diwas. It was celebrated at the premises of Lions Club Dimapur. Members of Lions Club, Rotary Club, Leo Club and Rotaract Club of Dimapur lit candles in remembrance to the heroes of Kargil war. The project chairpersons were Leo Nalini Jain and Rtr Ashok Kochar and co-chairperson was Leo Priya Chhabra, a release from Pravin Jain, PRO, Leo Club, Dimapur said.
KTHU elects new office bearers
Kohima, August 4 (MExN): The general body meeting of the Kohima Town Hotel Union (KTHU) was held here today at Hotel Japfü. During the meeting new office bearers for a period of three years were elected. Khrielakuo Sekhose was elected as President and Atanu Theyo and K. Sahu Angami were elected as General Secretary and Treasurer respectively, a release from Atanu Theyo informed. The new elected members of the executive body were Zasilhoulie, Rüüzolie Khate, John Megh, Akhuzo, Toki, Khriezo Suokhrie, Binod, Angunuo, Yongchem and Ayong.
NSUI appoints state president
Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): The National Students Union of India (NSUI) with the approval of Congress President, Rahul Gandhi has appointed Niloboto Sumi as President for Nagaland state, NSUI Committee with immediate effect, a press release from Fairoz Khan informed.
Sainik School Punglwa conducts quiz competition
Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): Sainik School Punglwa organised an inter house quiz competition on August 1 at Arjan Singh Indoor Sports Complex. The quiz comprised of seven rounds covering topics such as current affairs, science and technology, sports, literature, audio, visual and rapid fire. From amongst six competing houses, Japfu house emerged as the champion of the competition. Doyang and Melak house secured second and third position respectively. Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar, the Principal of the school attended the event as chief guest.
YTC condoles
Tuensang, August 4 (MExN):Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) has expressed sadness over the loss of several school children, who were swept away by the Dzucharu river, Kohima and Aghunato, Zunheboto last week. The YTC in a release from Mathew K Janger, Info & Publicity Secretary has extended gratitude to all localities and NSDMA for timely response and help. The Council also conveyed condolences to the family members who lost their loved ones during the calamity.
SHFCM 3rd Youth Conference
Kohima, August 4 (MExN): The Soul Harvest for Christ Ministries (SHFCM) 3rd Youth Conference will be held from August 10-12 at Soul Harvest Church, Daklane, Kohima. The conference will be held under the theme “Every youth for Christ”, a release informed. The speakers of the conference will be Rev Kevisede Kire, Rev Moa Longchari, Khetoshe Chishi and Aphre Kerhuo.
