Mass social work at on September 22

Kohima, September 19 (MExN): Tsieramia Youth Organization (TYO) L.Khel of Kohima Village has informed that it will be organizing a mass social work within its traditional jurisdiction on September 22 under the theme Tsieramia Total Sanitation Drive. The social work will commence from 7:00 am to 9:00 am at New Secretariat Road and Billy Graham Road. From 9:00 am onwards, the community will be engaged for cleaning community wells, its approaches, traditional gates (Kharu), footpaths (Lietsucha), Community Rest House (Chapru), vehicular roads and drains etc within its jurisdiction. A press release by Neirükuolie Yhome, President and R. James Vizo, Social Work Secretary TYO has requested all the Tsieramia community within and outside the village along with the owners of the motor workshops and business establishments located at New Secretariat Road and Billy Graham Road to participate by cleaning the surroundings as part of this drive.  

NMA appeals to utilize Pink bus services

Kohima, September 19 (MExN): The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has urged all women to avail the Pink bus services launched exclusively for women commuters in Dimapur and Kohima to facilitate their travel and ensure their safety. NMA President Abeiu Meru and Secretary Lochumbeni Humtsoe in a press release acknowledged the Government of Nagaland for taking steps to improve travel safety for women and looking into gender aspect in public transport by introducing city bus services for Kohima and Dimapur, a special ‘ Pink ‘ buses for ladies which is a very unique in itself. “We also hope that this service will be extended in the other districts in the coming days which will improve women’s travel experience through increase in comfort and safety,” the NMA stated.  

NWHD informs on Destitute Scheme

Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): The office of the Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) has informed that the Destitute Scheme has been accepted and implemented with the Directorate of Women Resource Department, Government of Nagaland to extend service to the destitute women by allowing them to open zero balance bank account in any branch of the cooperative bank in Dimapur. A press release by Keninguno Kath, Publicity & information secretary, NWHD has informed that to open an account, any of the following documents are required and has directed the beneficiaries to submit: three Passport photos, Residential proof, ID card issued by Women Resource development Department, Aadhar card/ voters ID card. To avail the destitute allowance for the year 2017 – 2018, the beneficiaries are directed to contact respective tribal women leaders and for queries, to contact the coordinator PNGO – 8787509968.  

Results of PMEGP 2018-19 declared

Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): General Manager and Member Convener, DLTFC, PMEGP in a release has informed the public that the results of PMEGP 2018-19 under Dimapur district has been declared and have been pasted on the notice board of DC's office and respective offices of District Industries Center, KVIC and NKVIB.  

Training on STRY at Pfutsero underway

Pfutsero, September 19 (MExN): Seven days training programme on Skill Training of Rural Youths (STRY) is underway from September 14 to 21 at Horticulture Research Farm, Pfutsero under STRY organised by District Horticuture Office, Phek & ATMA, Phek sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Horticulture Officer, Horticulture Research Farm Pfutsero in a press release stated that resource person Moalemba DHO, Phek highlighted the importance of transportation and marketing of fruits and vegetables in rural areas. The programme was chaired by Sentinungba Longchar, Horticulture Officer HRF, Pfutsero who spoke on the objectives of the training. The undergoing programme intends to target about 100 rural youths from different villages with 15 trainees per programme.  

Youth Voters Festival in Peren

Peren, September 19 (MExN): ADC & SVEEP Coordinator Peren, Sarita Yadav, IAS has informed that Youth Voters Festival 2018 for Peren district will be held on September 20 and 21 at Peren HQ and Tening respectively. Therefore all the Principals and Headmasters under Peren district have been requested to send class IX and above students for visitations of Voters Registration and Education Centers (VRECs) as part of the celebration of the Youth Voters Festival 2018. Further, she also informed that District Level Essay Competition for Higher Secondary and College students will be held on September 21st at old DC office, Peren on the topic-A Responsible Voter-Key to Strong Democracy (1000 words limit).  

NSCN (K) terminates cadre

Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): As per the directive of the Kilo Kilonser, the NSCN (K) Home Secretary office has terminated one Hetoka Sumi (Razou Peyu) of Achikuchu Village under Sumi Region from active national service as enshrined in the party discipline, Section D. Clause 4. This was stated in a press release by Ngukato G Chishi (SO), MIP, NSCN (K).  

Audio-visual presentation mon role of husband screened

Dimapur, September 18 (MExN): In continuance of the celebration of Poshan Abhiyaan Month, Department of Social Welfare Dimapur (Urban) Project organized an audio-visual presentation on the role of husband in the holistic development of mother and child vis-à-vis, the nutritional aspect, at the community hall Lengrijan Village, stated a press release by Child Development Project Officer (U) Dimapur, Nagaland. The programme chaired by CDPO (U) Dimapur, Robert Odyuo was attended by the village council, young parents, pregnant and lactating mothers and all the ICDS functionaries from the project. The theme speaker, Zuthunglo Lotha, Nutritionist, Multi Speciality Hospital Dimapur, spoke on the role of husband in the holistic development of a child through proper nutritionist practice.
