Leadership and motivational training

Kohima, December 16 (DIPR): In view of the forthcoming State Assembly Election 2018, a leadership and motivational training for all the Nodal Officers of different Election Cells and Sector Officers will be held from December 18 to 20 at Administrative Training Institute, Kohima. In this connection, Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has informed all concerned Officers to report to the ATI on December 18 at 9:30 am for registration and attend the training without fail.  

AR seize liquor worth Rs. 54 lakh

Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): Medziphema Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) seized large quantity of liquor from Dimapur on December 16. The 1592 cases of liquor worth around Rs. 54 lakh was recovered from a godown in Haralu Colony, Burma Camp, according to a press release from Assam Rifles. Eight workers of the godown belonging to Shikato were apprehended, the release further informed, adding that the godown had three vehicles – white Maruti Alto with registration no. AS 4A- 6477, one silver and one white coloured Maruti Omni vans with registration nos. NL 07 – 6839 and NL 07C – 6508 respectively. The apprehended persons along with the recoveries and vehicles were handed over to Dimapur East Police Station, it said.  

AKMWP celebrates pre-Christmas

Kohima, December 16 (MExN): The Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP) celebrated pre-Christmas at 2K Hotel, Kohima on December 15. AKMWP advisor Mayang Imsong shared Christmas greetings, while the programme was led by AKMWP president Neibulie Kiewhuo.  

DC Mkg informs arms license holders

Mokokchung, December 16 (MExN): As per Home Department Police ‘B’ Branch letter, the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung has informed all arms license holders who have not furnished their details for uploading on National Database of Arms License (NDAL) to bring their arms license booklets and get the Unique Identification Number (UIN) from the DC’s office, Mokokchung from the date of this publication till March 31, 2018. In a press release, the DC stated that failure to obtain the UIN before March 31 will make all licenses invalid.  

Mon DPDB approves verification committee for LADP

Mon, December 16 (DIPR): The monthly Mon District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on December 15 at DC’s conference hall, Mon. Chaired by the new Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Mon, Thavaseelan K (IAS), the meeting approved the verification committee for LADP 2017-2018.
