WAYO to celebrate silver jubilee Kohima, December 28 (MExN): The Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) will be celebrating its silver jubilee on January 6 at WAPO Ground, Sechii Zubza at 10:00 AM. Nibu Nagi, businessman will grace the occasion as the chief guest while Niketu Iralu, social and peace activist will be the special guest. Greetings will be shared by Lhuphrevilie Rino, president Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) and Neinguvotuo Krose, president Angami Youth Organization (AYO). Viseto Nagi, Ist president WAYO will bring reminiscence of the organization. WAYO president Neidilhoutuo Sechii will deliver presidential address while keynote address will be delivered by steering committee convenor Lhousarovi Paul Rino. A function for unveiling of WAYO silver jubilee monolith will take place near ABCC Prayer Garden. Monolith Committee convenor Sedeneikho Shosahie will present the report before dedicatory prayer by Roziekolie Nipu, pastor Christian Revival Church Sechiima and unveil by the chief guest. The celebration will also witness cultural extravaganza.
Kalos Relief 2017 reaches out to 60 homes Kohima, December 28 (MExN): The Kalos Society through its RELIEF 2017 programme has reached out to around 60 homes within Pfutsero town especially to the needy, senior citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and the traffic police personnel in the form of cash, rice, milk and cake to share the joy and love during Christmas Season. Through this RELIEF 2017, the Kalos distributed rice (25 kgs to 24 households and 10 kgs to 5 households) along with along with cake. It also provided cash to 10 households (Rs. 1000 each) along with cake. It provided cake to senior citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and traffic personnel. “The Kalos Society is blessed with many likeminded and generous people and supporters which keep our Society steering,” stated Kalos. The Society expressed profound gratitude to all cheerful givers in the form of cash and kinds without which the mission could not be successful.
CKT all set to celebrate platinum jubilee Dimapur, December 28 (MExN): Under the theme, “Heedfulness,” the Changtongya Students’ Union (CKT) will be celebrating its Platinum Jubilee on December 29 with various event spread across the day. It will be officially inaugurated by I Panger Jamir, PCCH & HOFF Kohima, which will be followed by the second session at the Village’s Multipurpose Hall. The evening session will be held at Changtongya Baptist Church with Limasunep Jamir IPS, the Commissioner of Police Dimapur as the resource person. The celebration will conclude with an ‘entertainment gala’ featuring, among others, the retro rock band ‘Lord of Rock’ and local stand-up comedians.
