BAN invites PMEGP aggrieved applicants
Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has informed that the Association has been receiving many complaints from selected applicants of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), that they are facing a tough time getting their loans sanctioned by banks even after being selected by the selection committee. In this regard, the BAN has invited aggrieved PMEGP selected candidates for an open discussion at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on August 17, at 11:00 am. This was informed in a press release issued by the MIP cell, BAN.
ASKK executive meet today
Kohima, August 16 (MExN): The Aphuyemi Sumi Kuqhakulu Kohima, ASKK (Pughoboto Area Public Organization Kohima) has convened an Executive meeting on August 17 at the Heritage Meeting Hall, Raj Bhavan Hill, Kohima at 2:00 pm, “to discuss some important matters.” It has requested all Advisors, Office bearers and village representatives to compulsory attend the meeting.
ZPO executive council meet
Jalukie, August 16 (MExN): The Zeliang People’s Organization (ZPO) (N) has convened an executive council meeting on August 19, at the resident of its president, Kezen Zeliang, Stadium Colony, Jalukie town at 11:00 am. The media cell ZPO (N), in a press release requested all the office bearers and Executive members representing various Unit and Zone, to positively attend the meeting without fail.
DDADU issues directives
Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): The Dimapur District Autoriskshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has directed the auto drivers to wear uniforms and carry the Union ID card from August 19, failing which the defaulters will be dealt with by the Union. Informing this in a press released, DDADU president Tito Yeptho in a press release stated that lost items of passengers will be the sole responsibility of the passengers concerned and not the auto drivers. Also the owners leasing out their auto should have the knowledge that the driver has driving license, DDADU ID cars and union’s uniform.
PUK condemns alleged ‘attempted murder’
Kohima, August 16 (MExN): The Pfütseromi Union Kohima (PUK) has expressed shock and condemned the alleged “attempted murder” by one Ketsei u Belho to murder his son-in-law Thejangulie Kapfo on August 12 around 9:30 am at Lower Chandmari Colony, Kohima. A press release jointly appended by PUK, President, Wepretso Mero and General Secretary, Dr Dieku Ritse claimed that the accused tried to kill Kapfo by stabbing him with a knife, and further smashed his back with a wooden plank. It added that the victim tried to escape; bleeding profusely while Belho threw a stone at him again. PUK stated that attacking someone with a knife is “unbecoming a Naga culture.” It therefore, appealed to the concerned authority not to grant bail to the accused as “he deserves to get a befitting punishment from the court of law.”
St Xavier Church holds Sales Day
Kohima, August 16 (MExN): St Xavier Catholic Church, Kidima organized a Sales Day programme in aid of Golden Jubilee (2020) on August 10 at PR Hill junction sponsored by ATMA Kohima district. As per a DIPR report, District Agriculture Officer & PD (ATMA), Kohima district, B Imti Tzudir congratulated the Church members for their unity, hard work and for the organically produced products brought for sale. The organizing committee acknowledged the Department for giving them the opportunity and platform to expose their products and for the valuable support to the church community.
NTC new team installation prog
Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) has informed all concerned members that Installation Programme of the New NTC Team will be held at Hotel Saramati on August 20 at 11:00 am. “Proper information could not be made available to each individual due to communication and transportation problems which is regretted,” stated a joint press release issued by the President and the General Secretary of NTC. It further requested all the existing NTC officials and the newly designated Tribes Representatives to reach the venue in time and to attend the programme without fail.
