NTWTA Dimapur informs on membership & registration

Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Two-Wheeler Taxi Association (NTWTA), Dimapur District has informed interested riders that membership and registration will start from August 21 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. This was informed in a press release issued by the NTWTA Dimapur. “This is exclusively for educated/uneducated unemployed Naga Youths, both males and females, who are willing to sincerely serve and earn,” it added. KRN to commemorate 75th anniversary

Kohima, August 20 (MExN): Khonoma Rüffüno Nagaland (KRN) will commemorate its 75th anniversary on September 1.The anniversary programme will start with the unveiling of monolith of A Z Phizo Park at 8:30 am, at Nikri-ü ba, Khonoma. The main function will start at 10:30 am at the Community Hall, Terhotsiese, Khonoma followed by an  Anniversary Feast at 12:00 pm. KRN Award Function will be held in the afternoon at 2:30 pm which will felicitate meritorious individuals in various disciplines. This was informed in a press release issued by Nisavi Hieme, President KRN. The KRN further requested all the units to come and participate in the anniversary at Khonoma. It also requested and invited all the in-laws of Khonoma to come and join the celebration. “The respective clans are asked to inform their in-laws and sisters married to other communities,” it added.

 

PCC mourns demise of student

Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): The faculties, friends and students of Patkai Christian College (PCC) (Autonomous) has mourned the untimely demise of Welhilo Wetsah, a student of BA 1st semester, Economics Honours, PCC. Wetsah breathed his last at Oking hospital in Kohima after a brief illness.  A condolence message issued by the PCC Mass com stated that the Principal PCC, Husazu Epao termed the demise of Late Wetsah as a great loss to the college and the state. He also mentioned that Late Wetsah was a regular student with the zeal to learn from his teachers. The Principal PCC on behalf of the college extended heartfelt condolence and prayers to the bereaved family members and prayed to God to give enough strength to the family members to bear the irreparable loss.

 

KDVA general body meeting

Kohima, August 20 (MExN): The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will hold its general meeting on August 22 at 3:00 pm at Mhachaki, Kohima. The meeting will discuss matter relating to KDVA Foundation Day and the forthcoming KDVA tournament. The Association requested all the members to attend the said meeting.

 

SCPB ‘B’ condemns alleged killing of Toishe Yeptho

Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): The Sumi Community Purana Bazaar (SCPB) ‘B’ has strongly condemned the alleged killing of Toishe Yeptho on August 16, by unidentified gunmen at his residence in Purana Bazaar ‘B’ block IV. A joint press release issued by the Chairman Mughato Aye and the Secretary Hekuto Wotsa of SCPB ‘B’ stated that   Late Toishe was a sociable man and actively worked for the good of the society. The Sumi Community Purana Bazaar ‘B’ further appealed the law enforcing agencies to arrest the culprits at the earliest and book them as per the law of the land. It also conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. 

 

G Kaito Aye condoles demise of Hotoshe Zhimomi

Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): The Minister of Agriculture and Co-operation, Nagaland G Kaito Aye has expressed sadness over the demise of Hotoshe Zhimomi who passed away on August 18, at Eden Hospital, Dimapur. The Minister in a condolence message stated that Late Hotoshe was a person who mentored and nurtured many. He was a God fearing man who invested all his time and effort in the church ministry through various organizations and platforms. Late Hotoshe was also a loving father to all who knew him and a steadfast leader who lived with example, Kaito mentioned.  “In his death we have lost a man who was after God's own heart, an enormous loss for the Sumi community and the vacuum created by his demise will be impossible to fill,” he said. He further extended his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for God's comfort at this hour of grief. 
 

LSU executive meeting

Leshemi, August 20 (MExN): Leshemi Students' Union (LSU) has convened an executive meeting on August 24, at Community Hall Leshemi Village at 12:00 am. All the Executive/Advisory Board/ Representative have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
