AR apprehends NSCN (IM) cadre with weapon

August 26 (MExN): The troops of Assam Rifles (AR) launched an operation in general area Purana Bazaar on August 25 and apprehended one, Peyu Sata Lohe of NSCN (IM) 39 years, resident of Khomi village, Phek District. A press release issued by Lt Col, L Vincent Patton PRO,HQ IGAR (N) stated that the accused was apprehended along with one 9mm Pistol with magazine and 05 live rounds, one pt 32 pistol with magazine and 10 live rounds. “The apprehended along with the recovered item was handed over to East Police Station Dimapur for further investigation,” it informed.  

 

NSF informs 

August, 26 (MExN): The Federal Assembly Secretariat of the Naga Students' Federation (NSF), in view of the 1st Federation Assembly for the tenure 2019-21 at Zhavame Village, to be held on August 30 at 11:00 am. The Speaker of NSF, Rite Khutsoh in a press release issued has informed all the Federating Units, Sub-ordinate bodies and senior leaders of NSF to arrive and be present at the venue on August 29 by 2:00 pm.

 

Rates of interest on GPF, CPF, AISPF revised 

Kohima, August 26 (MExN): In accordance with the rates of interest on GPF, CPF, AISPF etc. fixed by the Government of India, Finance Department (General Branch), Government of Nagaland has issued a notification stating that the Governor of Nagaland has revised to fix the rates of interest accruing on GPF, CPF, AISPF etc. for the period from 01-07-2019 to 30-09-2019 as 7.9% on Rate of Interest.

 

ANHTU Dimapur informs

Dimapur, August 26 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU), Dimapur Unit will celebrate Silver Jubilee cum State Level Hindi Diwas in the last week of September. In this regard, the Union has  informed all the Government Schools (Class 9 & 12) and Hindi colleges (Class Parichey & Kovid) (Diploma 1st & 2nd Year) under Dimapur District, to send names of 4 students for Debate and 5 students for Essay writing competition on or before September 10. A press release issued by the ANTHU informed that the Topic for the Essay and debate competition will be as follows: Essay-“Importance of Hindi”- Hindi ka Mahatva;  Debate – “Advantage and disadvantage of social media”- Samajik Madhyam ka labh aur haani.
