DGC principal informs
Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): The Principal of Dimapur Government College (DGC) has informed all “repeaters/backlog” students of BA & B COM 5th,3rd & 1st Semester that the filling up of NU Examination form shall be on September 4,5 and 6 respectively. It also informed that exam forms will be issued for all the Semesters on September 3. “Admit Card (Photocopy) and Mark Sheet (Original) of the relevant semester shall be required for filling up the Exam Form," it informed.
Rain wrecks fishery ponds in Jalukie
Jalukie, August 29 (MExN): Due to incessant rain on August 27 midnight, six fishery ponds belonging to Haizin, Mongzeung and Hailamsong of Veterinary Colony, Jalukie Town were partially damaged. A DIPR report stated that along with the fishery ponds, heavy rainfall also caused wreckage to paddy field and some cash crop plantation around the fishery ponds were also completely washed off. It may be mentioned that out of the total 45 acres of land areas, approx. 15 acres of the land areas were affected and the damaged fishery ponds have been maintained with fingerlings bought from various agencies worth 1.5 lacs and has been feeding with floating feeds since five months back.
LCOD celebrates Janmashtmi
Dimapur, August 29 (MexN): Leo Club of Dimapur (LCOD) celebrated Janmashtam on August 24, at the premises of Leo club. A press release issued by Sneha Jain PRO- LCOD stated that the programme was chaired by Nalini Jain and co chaired by Bhawna Chhabra and Shreyans Jain. A fancy dress and dance competition was carried out in two categories i.e. 0-6 years and 7-11 years .The team also carried out a matki phod competition. The programme was attended by about 500 people. The prize winners of the competition were: (0-6) Fancy dress Category winner and (0-6) dance category winner - Elisha Sharma; (7-12) fancy dress category winner - Vernica Sharma; (7-12) dance category winner - Pranvi Maheshwari and the winners of the Matki phod competition was the tiger group. There was also a special performance by Simon and his team, added the release.
DWO Mokokchung informs pensioners
Mokokchung, August 29 (MExN): District Welfare Officer Mokokchung, T Aoakhum Longchar has informed all concern pensioners drawing old age pension, widow pension, disability pension under National Scheme (NSAP) that sanction has been accorded for twelve months for 2017-18 and six months for 2018-19; and Disability and Blind Pension and Differently Abled Students Scholarship under State Scheme that sanction has been accorded for twelve months for 2018-19. A DIPR report stated that the payment will be made in cash from September 9 to October 19 at District Welfare Office Mokokchung during office working hours. Beneficiaries have been requested to produce Life Certificate obtained from the respective VCC/ Pastor. It is also informed to those beneficiaries who have not submitted Aadhaar and Bank Account to submit the same during the payment. Payment will be made according to Range/Village/Ward wise, as follows- Mokokchung Town from September 9 to 12, Ongpangkong from September 13 to 21, Asetkong from September 23 to 25, Langpangkong from September 26 to October 5, Jangpetkong from October 9 and 10, Japukong from October 11 to 16, Tsungrangkong from October 17 to 19.
