56th Indo-Naga Ceasefire Day

Chedema, September 2 (MExN): The Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) along with the leaders of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) will observe the 56th Indo-Naga Ceasefire Day on September 6, at 10:00 am at Peace Camp, Chedema. This was informed in a press release issued by the FGN Secretary, Thihü Khamo. It further invited all to participate in the function. 

 

DDGBA condole demise of Lt Yevihe Achumi

Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): The Dimapur District GBs Association (DDGBA) has conveyed condolence on the demise of Late Yevihe Achumi, GB Diphupar Village who passed away on August 31.The DDGBA in a condolence message stated that Late Achumi was a “bonafide member of DDGBA and an eminent social worker, who has contributed immensely to the society with his vast experiences and selfless services.” “His sad demise has come as a huge jolt to the DDGBA who had lost an ardent and hardworking member,” it added. The DDGBA while praying for the departed soul to rest in peace also invoked God's grace to provide solace to the bereaved family members at their time of grief.

 

Mon Police hands over ULFA (I) cadres

Mon, September 2 (MExN): Three ULFA (I) cadres who had surrendered before Mon Police authorities on August 30, were handed over to Assam Police represented by Mrinal Deka (APS), Additional SP of Charaideo District, Assam in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mon on September 2. This was informed in a press release issued by Superintendent of Police, Mon.
