DEO Dimapur informs schools
Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): The Dimapur District Common Teacher’s Day celebration will be held at Holy Cross Hr. Sec School Auditorium Hall on September 5 at 2:00 pm. Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Z Kevikha Kevin Zehol NCS will be the special guest. This was informed in a press release issued by the DEO Dimapur. It further informed all the schools under Dimapur District to attend the said programme along with 10 students each.
Sub-Treasury Officer Pfutsero informs pensioners
Phek, September 3 (MExN): The Sub-Treasury Officer Pfutsero, Vevolhu Dozoi has informed all the pensioners drawing pension from Sub-Treasury, Pfutsero that as per the CTR 368 the annual physical verification for the year 2019 will be conducted from September 24 to 27, at 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. It will be conducted at Secheku Area on September 24; Chokri and Khezha/Kuzha Area on September 25; Pfutsero Town on September 26 and all others on September 27.
NSUI Nagaland 'merges' with BJP
Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): The National Student Union of India (NSUI) Nagaland unit has resigned from Indian National Congress (INC) and merged with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This was informed in a press release issued by Niloboto Sumi, President NSUI, Nagaland Unit. It further stated that the NSCUI led by its President Niboto Sumi; General Secretary(Administration) Baman Buchem; General secretary (Media) Bovito Wotsa and Secretary Manlem Walem, under the guidance of Dr Sukhato Sema, Vice President BJP, Nagaland joined the BJP “to work under the visionary and dynamic leadership of State President & Minister Temjen Imna Along Longkumer and Deputy CM Y Patton.”
NSUA observes 22nd fresher’s day
Ahmednagar, September 3 (MExN): Naga Students' Union Ahmednagar (NSUA) celebrated its 22nd Annual Freshers' Meet on September 1, at the Institute of Management Studies Career Development & Research (IMSCDR). Nungsangwaba Longchar and Mercy Khiamniungan were crowned the Mr & Miss Fresher’s for the year 2019. “The grand event was attended by hundreds of students, studies officials from Mizo Union, elders, and well wishers from the city,” informed a press release issued by the NSUA.
ICFAI celebrates 13th foundation day
Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): ICFAI University Nagaland celebrated its 13th foundation day on September 3, at the University Campus. The programme was chaired by the head of the Department of Management Studies, Vindhya Sagar. The invocation was pronounced by Assistant Professor and Staff Advisor SCMI ICFAI, Niesal Theyo. Wapangsenla Imchen, Dean of Academics and Dr Azono Khatso, Assistant Professor spoke about their experiences in the university. Masters student Linthoi performed a song while Sentilemla Lemtur, Assistant Professor, spoke about her experiences as alumni and also as a current faculty. The Vice Chancellor, Prof Charles Alexander, delivered the foundation day address where he spoke about the journey of the university from its humble beginnings to the position it has reached today. This was informed in a press release issued by Dr Longchanaro Longkumer, Asst Prof Dept. of English, ICFAI University Nagaland.
