DC Kohima issues notice to remove building materials within 7 days

Kohima, November 16 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has issued a notice to remove all the construction and building materials/off road vehicles, unused water pipelines and hanging water cables & pipelines from the Highway and roadside within seven (7) days from the date of issue of the notice i.e. November 16. The notice further stated that failing which the materials will be removed, confiscated and disposed-off as deem fit and defaulters will be penalised. Off road vehicles will be towed away by the police at the cost of the owners. The notice was issued observing that there are still construction/building materials, stones, logs, timbers, off road vehicles etc. lying along the road/Highway causing obstruction to free flow of traffic and pedestrian in spite of repeated orders.

 

Induction of IGNOU Study Centre today

Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): An induction meet for the fresh students enrolled for July 2019 session at IGNOU study centre – 2002, Dimapur Government College will be held on November 17, 12:00 pm at Dimapur Government College to familiarize students about open distance learning system, various support extended by the learners support cell and how to proceed with studies. Khrieo Rutsa, Coordinator, IGNOU SC-2002 in a press release has requested the candidates to attend the meet positively and bring one passport size photo to be submitted at the study centre.


 
KMC informs on cesspool vehicles

Kohima, November 16 (MExN): Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Administrator, Kovi Meyase has informed the general public of Kohima town that KMC will be providing two numbers of cesspool vehicles i.e. 5,000 liters at Rs 4,500 and 3000 liters at Rs 3000 with effect from November 18. YNA reiterates setting  up of CMSW committee

Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): The Young Namsang Association (YNA) has reiterated all the villages under Namsang to set up committee for Community Mandatory Social Work (CMSW) by November 30 and begin doing monthly community social work from January 2020 adhering to the time table given. YNA Joint Secretary, Bausha Paüwüng in a press release stated that each village must have voluntary CMSW committee comprising all the heads of different departments/organizations among others in the committee with Chairman and Secretary and intimate committee's contact diary to YNA office for easy communication. The office of YNA also requested the Church Board, Village Council, Students' Union and Hoichemla Union to carry forward this mission in coordination with the organizing YNA team.

 

LJP vice president removed  

Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Nagaland State Unit has removed Peter Magh, Vice President from its post of vice president, primary and active membership with immediate effect from November 14, stating that he has been “actively involved in anti-party activities on many occasion.” RL Nelson, President LJP, Nagaland Unit in a press release informed in this regard, “whosoever deals with him in the activities of the party may do so in his/her own risk.”

 

Garos to celebrate ‘Wangala’

Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): Garos of Nagaland will be celebrating its post-harvest festival "Wangala” on November 21, 11:00 am hosted by Dubagaon Village at School play ground. It is organized by Wangala Celebration Committee in association with Nagaland Garo Tribal Council (NGTC) and Garo Students’ Union Nagaland Zone (GSUNZ). NGTC in a press release has appealed to all the respective Government Departments to grant one day leave to all Garo employees to attend the festival and further appealed all the inhabitants of Nagaland to compulsorily attend the festival.
