‘Workshop for new & aspiring Naga writers’ in Kohima 

Kohima, November 26 (MExN): The Kohima Education Society (KES) will be organizing two-day ‘workshop for new and aspiring Naga writers’ at Hotel Ura, near Red Cross, Kohima on November 28 and 29. The speakers for the workshop includes Vishu Rita Krocha of Pen Thrill Publications, Kohima; Bano Haralu, Editor, Nagaland Today; Oken Jeet Sandham, senior Journalist, Nagaland; Pradip Phanjoubam, Editor & Publisher, Imphal Free Press; Easterine Kire, Author & Publisher & Winner of 1st GGPNL; Kethosor Kevichusa, Author and Winner of 1st GGPNL; Dr Aküm Longchari, Publisher, The Morung Express; and P Ngully, Chairman, KES. There will be discussion and interaction on the topics of the workshop with speakers.

 

14 Naga tribes ‘welcomes’ positive decision of Police dept

Kohima, November 26 (MExN): The leaderships of the 14 Naga tribes of Nagaland have welcomed the positive decision of the Nagaland Police department modifying the date and venue of the ongoing Nagaland Police Open Recruitment earlier notified. The written test will now be held on November 29 at respective District Headquarters. The leaderships of the 14 Naga Tribes of Nagaland in a press release stated it decided to appeal for modification in a meeting held at Hotel Ura, Kohima on October 22, and appreciated the sensibility of the Police department paying heed to the appeal.

 

HRLN Nagaland unit to organize Consultation

Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): The Nagaland unit of Human Rights Law Network Nagaland (HRLN) in collaboration with CAN Youth  organization will be organizing a two-day State Level Consultation on Reproductive Health & other basic Rights of Children, Adolescent & Women on November 28 and 29 at Tourist Lodge Dimapur. The consultation will anticipate extensive consultation with the stakeholders and targeted beneficiaries on the key goals of Reproductive Rights and other basic rights for women, adolescents and children in the State. The Consultation shall also witness lectures from experienced resource persons, activists & lawyers who are champions of Human Rights in the state. 5th NAP Bn Phek to conduct firing test

Phek, November 26 (MExN): The 5th NAP Bn. Phek will be conducting Firing Test for the forthcoming Nagaland Police Meet 2019 with effect from November 28 from 5:00 am at the unit firing range. All public and nearby villagers have been requested not to go near the firing range or let loose any domesticated animals around the area with effect from the foresaid period.

 

WSKH meeting 

Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): The Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has convened a meeting of its advisors, office bearers, executive members and area chairmen on November 28, 10:00 am at its office, Chekiye village, Dimapur.

 

NCD PAC coordination meet

Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has informed that a coordination meeting of NCD and Public Action Committee (PAC) will be held on November 28, 11:00 am at Naga Council Conference Hall, Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur. A press release from NCD has requested all the Councilors and PAC members to make it convenient to attend the meeting.

 

NLA estimate committee meet

Kohima, November 26 (MExN): The Estimates Committee of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has been fixed on November 29, 11:00 am in the Committee room of the Assembly Secretariat Kohima for consideration and adoption of 136th, 137th and 138th draft report of Estimates Committee. All the members have been requested to attend the same.
