Conference on ‘Startups & MSMEs in Food Processing’ on July 23
Dimapur, July 14 (MExN): ASSOCHAM is organizing a conference on ‘Startups and MSMEs in Food Processing’ in collaboration with ICAR-NRC on Mithun and Ministry of Food Processing Industries, GOI on July 23 at ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Medziphema. The key objective of the programme is to create awareness about government supported schemes and programmes for the small, budding, tiny processed food entrepreneurs. The conference will be a conglomeration of Government of India representatives, Government of Nagaland initiatives, SMEs, Bank, Food Processing Industry (FPI) representatives and aspiring entrepreneurs to understand factors that will facilitate development of the sector. It will be addressed by resource speakers from the Ministries/Organizations like FPI, DONER, APEDA, NABARD, QCI, FSSAI, NERAMAC and State departments.
MCD informs students
Dimapur, July 14 (MExN): Muslim Council Dimapur (MCD) has requested all the Muslim students of Nagaland who have secured 70% and above in the HSLC & HSSLC Examination 2018 under NBSE to submit a photocopy of marksheet attested by the school principal along with two passport size photos on or before July 20 at Unique Medical Hall, MP Road, Dimapur. Mithuns treated for FMD in Shiponger village
Tuensang, July 14 (MExN): There was an outbreak of foot and mouth disease (FMD) of mithun in Shiponger village under Tuensang district, informed a press release from the village council chairman, K Kiumehean. However, with the timely intervention of the veterinary department from Shamator, more than 70 mithuns were treated from June 19 to 24, it said. “The treatment done was very successful saving the lives of many mithuns,” the release added. The Shinponger Village Council has lauded the department and in particular, P Showuba Yimchunger, Senior Veterinary Field Assistant for carrying out the task.
