ADC/ERO Dimapur informs electors
Dimapur, December 18 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer of Dimapur, Sara S Jamir has informed the electors of 1-Dimapur-I, 2-Dimapur-II, 3-Dimapur-III, 4-Ghaspani-I, and 5-Ghaspani-II A/Cs that the deletion list for List of Possible Duplicates has been prepared based on the verification report of the respective Booth Level Officers and is displayed in the Notice Board of the office of Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Dimapur for inspection. Therefore, if any elector has anything to submit against the action proposed as above, they may appear before the ERO on or before December 22 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, stated a notification from Jamir. It further notified that in the event of failure to appear on the informed date and hour, “it will be presumed that you have nothing to say in the matter and the case would be decided without any further reference to you.”
DC Kohima informs arms license holders
Kohima, December 18 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Rajesh Soundararajan has directed all arms license holders under Kohima district to produce their arms license for verification at the nearest Police Station starting from December 19. The last day for doing so will be January 5, 2018. Failing to produce the license for verification within the stipulated time will result in cancellation of license(s) as per appropriate section of law. This notification was issued in view of the forthcoming General Assembly Election scheduled in the early part of 2018.
Invitation to ‘Khezhakeno Combine Service’
Phek, December 18 (MExN): The Programme Committee of ‘Khezhakeno Combine Service’ has invited all the Kozabomi people and in-laws to attend the service and share God’s blessings. The programme will be held from December 29 to January 1 at Lepfhe Ground, Khezhakeno under the theme ‘Uko Sielie di Chükhe’ (Let us rise and build – Nehemiah 2:18). Up-gradation of Akuluto to ADC HQ celebrated with thanksgiving
Zunheboto, December 18 (DIPR): The thanksgiving programme for up-gradation of SDO(C) Akuluto to that of Addl. Deputy Commissioner (ADC) was held at Akuluto Public Ground on December 18 under the aegis of GBs and Elders Association of Akuluto-VK. Unveiling of monolith for the Addl. Deputy Commissioner HQ is slated to be held between December 25 and January 1. At the thanksgiving event, K Kakheto Kinnimi, former Minister of Nagaland exhorted the gathering. Meanwhile, Sub Divisional Officer (C) Akuluto, Longasen expressed gratitude to the Parliamentary Secretary, Youth Resources & Sports and Music Task Force, Khekaho Assumi for his tireless service rendered towards his people. Apeto Assumi, president, Akuluto-VK Area Union Dimapur, who also spoke on the occasion, lauded the Parliamentary Secretary for his contributions. Others who spoke at the event included Hotovi Chishi, president, Akuluto Town GBs Association; Vikheto Chophi, vice-president, SKH; Yehokhu Chophi, president; Akuluto-VK GBs Association; and Nitoyi, president, GBs Association VK Area. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kakuto N Chishi, while invocation was pronounced by Jasper, pastor SBCA. Other highlights included war dance performed by Maromi village.
