CEO office informs interviewees
Kohima, December 19 (MExN): Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nagaland has informed the candidates who are appearing for oral interview for the posts of Data Processing Operator, Call Centre Operator, Library Attendant and LDA-cum-Computer Assistant on December 20 and 21 that the venue of interview has been shifted to District Planning Board Meeting Hall in the Kohima Deputy Commissioner’s Office complex. This was informed in a press release from Assistant Chief Electoral Officer R Mhathung.
Chessore GBs federation censures poor road maintenance work
Tuensang, December 19 (MExN): Chessore Area GBs Federation has expressed “anguish” over the recent road maintenance work in its area undertaken by the Roads & Bridges Department, terming it “completely unsatisfactory” and that “the road stands still in deplorable condition.” A statement from the GBs Federation general secretary, Ramji R lamented, “…no rational change has been witnessed, the lackadaisical and ignorant gesture from the department is intolerable as everyone is very much aware of the road condition within Chessore area and how it is affecting the normal life of its denizens.” In this light, the Federation has invited the attention of the higher authority to look into the matter immediately lest it is “compelled to take a drastic step.”
DC&DEO Peren informs political parties
Peren, December 19 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of Peren, Smita Sarangi (IAS) in a notification has requested all the political parties in Peren district to depute their representatives for First Level Checking (FLC) of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) from December 20 to 23 at the old DC office in Peren Town during office hours.
