Advertisement through AIR Kohima, March 8 (DIPR): In connection with a communiqué received from the All India Radio which has been endorsed to the Information and Public Relations Department, the Chief Secretary’s office has asked all the Departments implementing centrally sponsored schemes to advertise their advertisements through AIR. The AIR Kohima has also been directed to attend the next AHODs/HODs meeting. For further information log in to https://www.nagaland.gov.in   Allotment of BSUP flats under JnNURM kept in abeyance Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): In supersession of the press release issued by the Municipal Affairs Department, Kohima on March 3, the allotment of BSUP flats under JnNURM to the identified beneficiaries is kept in abeyance due to certain technical reasons. While informing this in a press release, the secretary to Government of Nagaland Dr Maongwati Aier, IAS said that the approved list of identified beneficiaries shall remain unchanged. Further, directives in this regard will be issued in due course.

Prasar Bharati informs Kohima, March 8 (DIPR): Prasar Bharati India’s Public Service Broadcaster informed all the Departments under the Government of Nagaland handling various Central schemes to send their “progress cum report” in respect of IEC budget w.e.f May 2015 to January 2016 for the information of the Prasar Bharati. Also the Departments have been requested to provide advertisements/customized programme campaigns to Doordarshan, Kohima for dissemination of information to the general public. KVYO cultural prog cancelled Kohima, March 8 (MExN): KVYO Cultural programme scheduled on March 9 has been cancelled due to certain inconveniences and some natural occurrences that are considered to be inopportune in Angami tradition.  Organising Committee Convenor, Thepfuhulie Belho and Secretary Kethosituo Mepfhuo in a press release stated that a solar eclipse is due to happen on this day, which also happens to be a new moon, both regarded as inauspicious, and since the programme has been earlier rescheduled on two occasions due to certain difficulties, the programme has been cancelled.  Further, KVYO apologises for the cancellation and request all frontal organisations of Kohima village and its members to bear with the inconveniences caused. Fire guts houses in Tsg Tuensang, March 8 (DIPR): Two houses in Tuensang were gutted by fire in New Colony where loss of property was estimated at approximately eight lakhs. The fire was caused by electric short circuit. GHSS and GHS under DEO Dimapur meeting Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): All the head of the institutions of the GHSS and GHS under DEO Dimapur are informed that there will be a coordination meeting on March 10 at 1:00 pm in the office of the DEO. All concerned officers are requested to attend the meeting positively. PE training underway Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): A 3-day refresher training for peer educators (PEs) of IDU-TI Projects under Nagaland State AIDS Control Society is undergoing at Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre. Training started on March 18 and will end on March 10. This training is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the Peer Educators of IDU-TI Project on harm reduction activities and thus assuring quality service delivery through peer education and outreach activities. The training is supported by EHA-Global Fund Round-9 HIV-IDU Grant Project (HIFAZAT) and the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society. Career guidance prog for NAGC Kohima, March 8 (DIPR): Nagaland State Social Welfare Board will be organizing a career guidance programme for Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club (NAGC) Schools on March 14 at Mezhur Higher Secondary School Auditorium at 11 am. This was informed by Secretary NSSWB, Daisy Mezhur.
