CSU consultative meeting on March 12

JACWR calls meeting on March 11
Kohima, March 9 (MExN): A meeting has been convened by Joint Action Committee on Women Reservation (JACWR) comprising of NMA, TWO, Watsu Mungdang, ENWO, and NWHD on March 11 at the HRLN Office, near DUDA Guest House, Kohima at 11.00 am. Joint Action Committee on Women Reservation in a press release has requested all presidents and secretary, from all tribe apex women organizations to attend the said meeting positively.
KGUK picnic-cum-get together
Kohima, March 9 (MExN): The Kandi Group Union Kohima (KGUK) will have picnic-cum-get together on March 12 at NSF Solidarity Park below Civil Secretariat Kohima Senthang Rengma Director of School Education will deliver words of encouragement in the gathering. All the members of KGUK are invited to attend the Picnic-cum-get together.
Public Information on LLIN
Kohima, March 9 (MExN): Despite repeated appeal/press release on free distribution of LLIN by National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, it has come to the notice of the authority that some villages/wards in and around Dimapur are still collecting money from the public for the LLIN. Therefore, the authority has decided that the LLIN distribution to these areas will be discontinued until further notice. This was informed in a press release issued by DR. Kevichusa Medikhru, Joint Director & SPO; National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP); Directorate of Health and Family Welfare.
Regularized GTs informed
Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): Regularized Graduate Teachers of Nagaland have been asked to submit a sum of Rs. 3,000 and give their specimen signature on the asset-paper to their own district representatives on or before March 15 as per February 5 general meeting resolution. WSSU urges to begin IISER session
Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): Reiterating its earlier demand to ensure setting up of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) at Hovukhu village, Western Sumi Students’ Union has called upon the authority concerned to immediately commence the current academic session of the institute stating that temporary accommodation to run the institute is sufficiently available at Niuland Town. A press release from WSSU President Nito Achumi and General Secretary Angukato Yeptho assured full co-operation towards the convenient commencement of the institute. Meanwhile, the students’ union re-affirmed its stand that any “slippery element rendering obstructive intervention in the process from either end shall not be tolerated.”

DC Kohima informs on VCM
Kohima, March 9 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Rovilatuo Mor has informed that the last date for VCM proposal has been to extended up to March 15. Villages that are yet to submit the VCM proposal for government approval have been directed to submit on or before March 15, failing which all government schemes/funds/financial transactions would be stopped.

Kohima, March 9 (DIPR): In view of the increasing traffic congestion in Kohima town and as per the decision of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Kohima, the Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, RTA Kohima, Rovilatuo Mor IAS has ordered that commercial establishment, viz. Saw mills, timber, sand and bricks, cement, hardware with cement stockist on the National Highway 2 and 61 within Kohima town area shall be permitted only where there are adequate parking space for loading/unloading without disturbing traffic flow. The order also added that the trade licence of shops not having adequate space shall not be renewed henceforth.

EDP training for PMEGP beneficiaries
Tuensang, March 9 (MExN): The District Industries Centre (DIC), NKVIB and KVIC Tuensang will be jointly conducting EDP training for all the beneficiaries of PMEGP for the year 2014-2015 under Tuensang District from March 21 to 29. Therefore, all the PMEGP beneficiaries for the year 2014-15 from various sponsoring agency under Tuensang District are asked to contact their respective office for Venue and registration at the earliest without fail. Lipokwati Ao, General Manager, District Industries Centre Tuensang informed in a press release that the sponsoring agency will not be responsible in future for those who fail to attend compulsory EDP training.
