Career guidance counseling at Mon held Mon, October 4 (DIPR): A programme of youthnet and the Government of Nagaland focusing on Entrepreneurship, skill building and employment partnering with Quest Alliance, Accenture and ‘I love my Mon town’ was held at council hall and District Executive Conference hall on October 4 with Director Youthnet, LezoPutsure and his team. At Council Hall career guidance counselling was held for the students of Govt. Higher Secondary School D and at District Executive Conference Hall a session on Entrepreneurship was held for students of Government Higher Secondary School, Konjong Higher Secondary School and also Government Higher Secondary School D. The programme was initiated by the mission ‘I love my Mon town’ for the students of higher secondary level to help them realise their potential and choose the right career in their life.   CVO Zunheboto conducts fee anti rabies vaccination Zunheboto, October 4 (MExN): The CVO Office establishment, Zunheboto in commemoration of ‘World Rabies Day’ on September 28 and ‘World Animal Day’ on October 4 organised a week long free Anti Rabies Vaccination Campaigns in different villages and towns of the district. A total of 480 dogs have been immunized against the dreaded virus. According to the CVO Zunheboto, during the occasion places covered were Lumami, Askhuto, Aizuto, Lukobomi, Mukalimi, Lazami, Natsumi, Mishilimi, Pughoboto and Zunheboto of the dist. The CVO has thanked all the officers and staff, all the village council Chairmen, GBs and public for their co-operation and support rendered for the successful implementation of the campaign.   GPK annual graduation day Kohima, October 4 (MExN): The Government Polytechnic Kohima will hold its annual graduation day on October 12 at 5:00 PM at the GPK Auditorium Hall. The event will be graced by minister for environment, forest & climate change Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire.   Inter School Singing Competition held Peren, October 4 (MExN): Inter School Singing Competition 2016 organized by the ZZone Clusters’ Peren was held on October 1 at the Indoor Stadium, Peren. Government Higher Secondary School Peren walked away as winners and Government Middle School DC Colony took home the runners up spot. Various prizes and gifts were distributed by the Special Invitee Tsidi Hairang, EAC Peren to the participating schools. The judges for the competition were renowned musicians of the district, Namnahei Nza and Zalevonuo.   Peace Club fills potholes Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): Railway Bazaar Council, Dimapur in collaboration with Peace Club members of the colony joined the rest of the nation in maintaining the environment clean and healthy on October 3. Around 20 club members with the assistance of the Council filled up the potholes and cleaned the garbage in their colony. “The Railway Bazaar like many other colonies in the city are living in a pathetic condition with no proper drainage system, dumping garbage and other amenities to keep the colony hygienic,” stated a press release issued by Peace Club. “The pathetic roads condition with several life size potholes pose dangers to pedestrian and vehicles plying in the areas,” it added.   PRN appeals to Naga Mothers Association Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): The People's Republic of Nagaland (PRN) has appealed to Naga Mothers Association and its units to be more concern of the “flesh trade and prostitution widely and openly run in around Dimapur district with the help of local people.” The PRN in a press release issued by its Ministry of Information & Publicity stated that “PRN is seriously concerned for our next generation andappeal to responsible leaders to be aware and save our people and its land from human destruction.” It further directed to the “commands” within district of Dimapur to note the “area, person's name, building, owners/managers etc.” The PRN appeals to “all right thinking citizens to join hands to flush out prostitution from Nagaland.”   Training & demo at Hozukhe village Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): ATMA Dimapur Niuland Block conducted training and demonstrations at Hozukhe village on October 1. Resource person Sentibenla, ATM, Niuland Block spoke ‘Application of micronutrients in vegetable crops.’ Longshithung, AFA, Department of Agriculture spoke on ‘Application of Trichogramma in paddy fields.’ The programme was chaired by Demalu Hasnusa, BTM, Niuland block where trichocards were distributed to the 31 farmers present.
