
Dimapur Bar Association meeting
Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): Dimapur Bar Association (DBA) has called a general body meeting on February 19, 1:30 pm. Therefore, all the members have been requested to attend the same without fail. All applicants seeking enrolment to the Bar have also been notified by DBA president, Imti Imsong and its secretary, Hukavi Zhimomi to be present for approval of their induction.
Naga Council calls meeting
Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): As per the request of Dimapur District Disabled Person Parents Association (DDDPPA) to have a co-ordination meeting for public awareness and for the welfare of disabled persons, Naga Council has scheduled a meeting on February 19, 11:00 am at Naga Council Unity hall. All Naga Council executive councilors, tribal Hoho, NWHD, DNSU, DDCCCF, GBs have been requested to attend the meeting. NGOs having concern for the welfare of disabled persons have also been invited to the meeting.
Assam Rifles apprehends

Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): Personnel of 29 Assam Rifles apprehended two armed individuals from a Maruti Swift Dzire (Registration No AS 01 W 6385) in Gholapatti area, near DDSC Stadium here on February 13 around 1:00 am. One .22 pistol along with a magazine was recovered from the two persons, identified as Andrew N Yepthomi (27) and Hoto Chishi (27), said a press release from Assam Rifles. The two were handed over to the East Police Station, Dimapur. The release informed that the operation was launched based on specific information about movement of armed individuals in the area.
AR apprehends extortionist
Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): 37 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles launched an operation in Chumukedima on February 14 and apprehended one extortionist from Ward No 2. Assam Rifles, in a press release informed that a .22 pistol along with one magazine, two live rounds, and other miscellaneous items were recovered from the car of the accused identified as Zasiratuo Doze (37). According to Assam Rifles, public reported that the individual was involved in extorting money in the area since the past one month. The apprehended person was handed over to Diphupar police station.
